Amherst College is providing a supportive professional development experience for all Mammoths to explore what’s next. On Wednesday, September 30, from 3 – 6 p.m., the Loeb Center for Career Exploration and Planning will host its sixth-annual Job and Internship Fair on campus in the Alumni Gymnasium’s Middleton Gym.

Students

Whether you have 15 minutes between classes or would like to spend the entire afternoon at the Fair, you are welcome and encouraged to attend. The Fair will offer opportunities from internships and fellowships to graduate school and jobs perfect for first-years exploring options to seniors ready to solidify post-graduate plans.

No resumes, formal dress code, or polished elevator pitches are required. Bring your curiosity, questions, or just an open mind!

Student registration will open in September.

Why attend?

Diversity of Employers: Each year, the Loeb Center hosts employer participants from a range of industries eager to hire liberal arts thinkers. In the past, this has included employers from conservation, media, law, tech, K-12 education, consulting, finance, and more.

Take the Pressure Out of Networking: Practice having low-stakes, casual conversations with Amherst alumni representatives and recruiters who want to share what their organizations do, so you can decide if they are the right fit for you.

We’ll Help You Prepare: Unclear about what types of questions to ask or how to introduce yourself? You don’t have to figure it out alone. The Loeb Center will be offering pre-fair workshops so you can ask questions and gain more information to become confident before stepping through the door.

Employers

This signature recruiting event offers a dynamic opportunity for actively-hiring organizations to connect with Amherst students who are exploring a wide range of career paths with curiosity, creativity, and purpose. Our undergraduate students, grounded in a liberal arts education that cultivates intellectual agility, problem-solving, and critical thinking, bring a wide array of perspectives, experiences, and skills to the workplace.
