Your career planning does not have to focus exclusively on finding employment in the United States.
Consider developing several possibilities at the same time:

- opportunities in your home country or another country;
- multinational organizations with offices in multiple locations;
- graduate or professional education; and
- fellowships, research, service, or other post-graduate experiences.
Developing multiple pathways does not mean giving up on your preferred goal. It gives you more information, connections, and options as circumstances change.
