The Farmlink Project is looking for a seasoned, creative and collaborative Design Lead to control website, social and digital design work. The Design Lead will report directly to the CMO, and manage the creation of the organization’s digital and visual materials. This role will be responsible to drive creative ideas that spark connections with the agriculture world and incite donors to take action in support of Farmlink’s mission. Ensure design harmony across all brand and product communication touchpoints. Support the growth and development of a thriving brand identity. Challenge the status quo and inspire constant fresh thinking and innovation across all design disciplines, support the responsible long term creative strategy via radical communication ideas. Constantly maintain website updates, create social media assets, and build internal presentations, pitch decks, etc. May also assist in the creation of merchandise, out of home advertising, event collateral and brand campaign development and communications.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to build creative concepts, and campaign based digital designs.
- Design and send out monthly newsletters to donors
- Maintain social media presence with 1-2 posts per week.
- Collaborate in concept process with Marketing team
- Run and maintain the website, general updates, and language updates as needed from the team.
- Improve creative processes and procedures, recommend potential creative concepts based on current social markets & trends.
- Assist in building strong brand identity across all communication channels
- Lead the design process and work for marketing campaigns and projects.
- Produce intelligent design work to a high standard (including marketing Out of Home materials event and display, campaigns, brand identity, design for social media and infographics)
- Develop efficient working practices for the design team
- Contribute to a team environment supervising design, supporting the CMO, and assisting staff with design/brand continuity.
Skills and Experience
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in design
- Experience in collaborative role and team based creativity
- Fluency with Canva, FIGMA, Adobe Suite, Mailchimp
- Experience with Instagram, Facebook and Linkedin
- Fluency with Webflow and developer skill set.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), analytics mindset, communication interpersonal and organizational skills, positive attitude
- Skilled with using and overseeing Mailchimp, (newsletter) systems
- Reporting, analyzing and forecasting and following emerging design trends, ability to apply this knowledge to projects
- Proven problem solving and artistic ability
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, high volume work environment
