Qualifications
- Photography experience including action shots, headshots, group photos
- Videography experience
- Experience with photo and video editing software and image sharing/storing web software
- Experience with managing social media sites such as Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook
- Own personal high quality camera, camera accessories, laptop with photo and video editing capabilities
Physical Aspects of the Position
- Ability to communicate and work with children of all ages and provide necessary instruction to campers and staff
- Ability to work long hours outside during summer months, including standing and/or sitting and ability to move about the 75-acre campus quickly and in various environmental conditions
- Ability to stay focused and work independently until necessary tasks are complete, to include working non-traditional hours to make certain the job is well done
- Work collaboratively with other photographer and have the ability to manage work flow, to include photo editing, taking pictures, creating an end-of-the-week highlight video, lost and found photos, etc.
Responsibilities
- Take photos of all programs
- Major camp events, campers, and activities
- 50-100 photos per day camp, per week
- 75-100 photos per camp, per week
- Organize photos online by week (folders) and by camp (galleries)
- Post to social media accounts daily (Facebook & Instagram)
- Create weekly highlight video for social media
- Track campers who are not allowed to be photographed
- Photograph lost and found items
- Coordinate with Camp Director and be aware of program changes, make sure appropriate events are being filmed, take pictures when needed
- Capture “Must Get” Photos
