Position Summary
The Annie E. Casey Foundation is offering an internship with its Strategic Communications unit. This paid internship is designed to provide qualified, diverse college candidates engaging, challenging project-based assignments, cross-team exposure and learning opportunities. This role will help Strategic Communications develop internal and external communication materials, including social media content, online resources used by Foundation partners and benefits resources for staff. The role will also conduct general research to help advance Strategic Communications and Foundation communication goals and provide writing and proofreading for internal and external products.
This is a hybrid internship that will run from June 3 to August 16, 2024. The role will report to a senior associate in Strategic Communications.
As a intern, you will:
- Assist with programmatic PowerPoint presentations, editing and other duties as assigned
- Produce and proofread content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Assist in the development of new postings and information on the Foundation’s website; connect with new entities to encourage linkage to the website
- Create blog posts and stories for the Foundation’s internal platforms and intranet
- Conduct research relating to internal communication trends and best practices
- Support the development of a benefits communications plan
- Help draft and proofread materials and manage other assignments as needed
