>> My name is Lekela Griffin [assumed spelling] and I am a talent acquisition professional. Talent acquisition consists of the recruitment for employment, we recruit from colleges, we recruit from companies, and it involves a lot of networking to find top talent. We utilize an applicant tracking system that pulls candidates who may have applied to our open positions. I follow up with them, I utilize a lot of social networking sites, specifically LinkedIn is probably the most used, so following up on a lot of phone calls, inquiries, I recruit for multiple business units, corporate finance, corporate accounting, training, learning and development departments, corporate human resources, portfolio investments, capital markets, so I have 20 to 30 different business units to support in their staffing needs, but talent acquisition consists of the whole as a discipline it's just 1 function within human resources and so a lot of times people say, oh I'm in HR, okay great what part of HR? You got payroll, you got benefits, you got compensation, you got recruiting, you got employee relations, performance which part are you in? I would say I'm in the talent acquisitions discipline of HR, so after checking up on leads, following up on candidate interests, a lot of phone calls, a lot of face-to-face time, I conduct phone screens, first interview opportunities for people looking to come on board with our firm and then I also liaison with a lot of executive level employees, chief officers even because we have to coordinate interviews and things of that nature so the candidate can meet with them, so we take them from sourcing the candidate all the way through onboarding the candidate.
