Position title: Supply Chain and Project Procurement Intern

Work location: Cranbury, NJ (onsite 5 days a week)

Job Summary: The intern will assist with supply chain activities related to our Cranbury site, focusing on supplier analysis and performance evaluation. Additionally, the role will involve supporting procurement compliance efforts for capital projects, specifically in establishing either an EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management) or EP and CM (Engineering & Procurement and Construction Management) contracting strategy. The candidate will also gain hands-on experience in purchasing complex process equipment, long-lead critical path equipment, and supporting the construction management strategy for trade and service contract issuance with a strict focus on compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct supplier analysis and evaluate supplier performance for supply chain activities related to the Cranbury site.
  • Support procurement compliance efforts for capital projects, including EPCM or EP and CM contracting strategies.
  • Assist in purchasing complex process equipment and long-lead critical path equipment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate procurement processes.
  • Oversee and assist in developing strategies for construction management trade and service contracts.
  • Maintain documentation and compliance records for procurement activities.
  • Provide analytical support and reporting on procurement and supply chain initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to project planning.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Interest in procurement and supply chain operations within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
