About the Role

We’re seeking a creative, outside-the-box thinker who loves wellness, beautiful design, and engaging storytelling. In this hands-on internship, you’ll take real ownership of our monthly email newsletter and design professional single-page collateral (recipe cards, tip sheets, and educational one-pagers).

This is a portfolio-building role with meaningful impact — your work will reach actual subscribers and clients. You’ll work closely with the founder in a small, mission-driven brand where your ideas and creativity are valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, write, design, and send 1 high-quality monthly newsletter using our platform (MailerLite). Content includes seasonal produce highlights, “What’s on Our Plate” features, client-friendly recipes, wellness tips, and educational nuggets — all in our warm, conversational brand voice.

• Create 2–3 single-page collateral pieces per month (e.g., beautiful recipe cards, quick-reference tip sheets, or one-pagers) using Canva. These will be used for client deliveries, marketing materials, and subscriber bonuses.

• Maintain strong brand consistency while infusing fresh, creative, and shareable ideas that align with holistic wellness and seasonal eating trends.

• Support light Squarespace website updates (adding new recipes, optimizing pages, or creating simple landing pages/newsletter sign-up flows).

• Brainstorm content ideas with viral/shareable potential and help grow engagement.

• Track basic newsletter metrics (opens, clicks) and suggest improvements.

• Occasionally support social amplification of newsletter content or other creative projects.

Skills & Qualities We’re Looking For

Must-Haves:

• Creative, outside-the-box thinker who gets excited about fresh angles, beautiful visuals, and shareable wellness content.

• Strong writing and copyediting skills — comfortable writing in a warm, authentic, conversational tone about food and wellness.

• Proficiency (or fast learner) with:

• Canva (or similar design tools) for layouts and graphics

• Email/newsletter platforms (MailerLite, Mailchimp, Substack, etc.)

• Basic Squarespace website editing

• Excellent organization and ability to meet monthly deadlines independently.

• Genuine interest in holistic wellness, nutrition, seasonal eating, or mindful living.

What You’ll Gain

• Real ownership of published work that reaches subscribers and clients.

• A strong portfolio of professional wellness newsletters, recipe cards, and collateral.

• Hands-on experience in email marketing strategy, content creation, and small-brand wellness operations.

• Direct mentorship from the founder and flexible schedule designed around student life.

• Potential to extend the internship, move into paid opportunities, or receive a strong recommendation.

Details

• Hours: Flexible part-time (~8–15 hours/week). One major newsletter + collateral batch per month

• Location: Primarily remote, with optional occasional in-person collaboration.

• Duration: Semester-long or 3–6 months, renewable based on fit and performance.
