The US Geological Survey (USGS), Columbia Environmental Research is seeking students interested in contract positions working in the field of environmental chemistry. The candidates will assist scientists in the USGS Environmental Chemistry Lab Core Technology Team. The Environmental Chemistry Lab is a collaborative research team which uses innovative analytical methods to measure environmentally relevant concentrations of contaminants in a variety of sample types (including water, plants, soil, sediment, fish and animal tissues, and artificial (passive) sampling devices) to understand the occurrence, fate, transport, and potential risk to organisms and humans.
