Physical Education (Part-time, 10-15 hours per week):

Physical Education applicants must love to play games with kids!
Touchstone students love the outdoors and enjoy collaborative games that focus not on competition but on inclusivity, challenge by choice, enjoyment, and skill development. Our children like to play games including Capture the Flag, Fishy Fishy, Obstacle Course Build, Freeze Tag, Lava Tag, and Kick The Can.
Our physical education program is similar to that of Project Adventure (www.pa.org), and the ideal candidate will be able to create PE classes that help students. We also welcome a teacher with certification to teach yoga to children 3-10 years old.

PE classes will be held between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. Class size ranges from 7 to 16 students,
This part-time position could be combined with other listed positions, such as Extended Day Program Program from 2:45-5:30.
Essential Skills, Qualifications, Responsibilities
- Possession of an undergraduate degree, or working towards this with a concentration in physical education and/or wellness.
- Committed to anti-bias, anti-racist, and anti-homophobic education
- Knowledgeable and appreciative of the developmental needs of children
- Great willingness to utilize Responsive Classroom and Collaborative Problem Solving techniques.
