About Strategic Offsites

Headquarters: Boston, Massachusetts, United States

Website: www.strategicoffsites.com

Strategic Offsites Group, Inc. (SOG) is a boutique strategy consulting firm that works with CEOs, senior executives, and boards to solve their critical strategic issues, typically through strategy workshops. We are recognized as the foremost authority in designing and facilitating strategic conversations for organizations across a wide range of industries and geographies; Harvard Business Review has published 25+ of our thought leadership pieces. We are uniquely positioned at the intersection of meeting facilitation, process design, and strategy consulting.

Job Description

Strategy Consultants work as part of a tight-knit team to support all aspects of client delivery, typically working on more than one project at a time. We assist clients with a wide range of strategic issues. Some recent examples include: helping the new CEO of an energy company define a new five-year strategy and identify the resources required for implementation; conducting strategy offsite for a private-equity owned construction materials company; developing a 5-year vision for a healthcare analytics services firm to capture momentum around AI-driven products and insights; mapping the client onboarding process for a tech-forward bank; and designing and facilitating a series of town halls to allow the CEO, CFO, and business line leaders to engage their team members in conversations.

Typical responsibilities for Strategy Consultants include:

  • Assisting in the design, facilitation, and management of strategy processes and offsite meetings
  • Designing and executing primary research tools (e.g., interviews, surveys, etc.)
  • Conducting research on industry landscape and trends
  • Gathering, analyzing, and reporting client data
  • Developing content for management presentations
  • Capturing and analyzing results of key sessions and workshops
  • Supporting project communications with client executives

Why Work at SOG?

We provide opportunities to take on meaningful roles on client engagements, exposure to a wide range of industries, and a uniquely collegial and collaborative culture. Strategy Consultants also contribute to internal development through marketing and thought leadership, business development support, knowledge management, operational planning, and recruiting. We offer a competitive starting salary and an extensive set of benefits.
