SUMMARY

Ranger Power (“Ranger”) is a renewable energy development company, headquartered in Chicago, IL. Ranger develops utility-scale solar, wind and battery storage projects around the United States.

Ranger Power is looking for a full-time intern for Summer 2026. The Business Development Intern will be involved in all aspects of renewable energy power marketing and will gain exposure to the development process. This position provides individuals with an opportunity to gain exposure to both the sales and project management sides of the business. Candidates should have some familiarity with the US electric power markets, and a passion for promoting Ranger Power’s mission to increase the proliferation of community-supported renewable power.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Competitive and strategic research – help identify industry trends and market dynamics, review key regulatory activities and conduct competitor analyses in Ranger’s primary states to report findings and help develop an origination strategy
  • Requests for Proposals (“RFPs”) and Marketing Materials – support putting together project marketing materials for RFPs, RFIs, and bilateral deals
  • Mergers and Acquisitions – support on renewable project purchases and divestitures as necessary
  • Client Administration – assist in managing Ranger’s client database and other databases used for internal team organization
  • Department Organization – support in key organizational work for the department and ensure that general tracking of project and pricing information is up to date
  • Prepare quality work product – prepare project documents, maps, reports, presentations, and other work product timely and accurately

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and advocacy skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
  • Knowledge of US power markets and/or experience in renewable energy a plus, but not required
  • Intern to work out of Ranger Power’s headquarters in Chicago
