In addition to launching exciting new clean energy products and services, we’re a national leader in community solar and provide solar developers, utilities, and municipalities with a technology and services platform to manage their clean energy program offerings.

Apart from valuable work experience in the clean energy industry, we offer the opportunity to improve your understanding of the community solar development process by working closely with our expert team of community solar managers. As a Community Solar Intern, you will provide support in the key role of ensuring community solar subscription projects are well managed and maintained.

We are a mission driven, 100% employee-owned company that’s growing rapidly. We work out of a fantastic co-working space located in midtown Manhattan, and support remote, hybrid, and in office work environments with many employees choosing to go into the office a couple days each week. Although we are open to remote candidates, very strong preference will be giving to people local to the NYC region for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Your primary objective will be supporting our Director of Operations to ensure proper management of community solar projects and daily operations of the department.
  • Daily internal interactions with Clients, and other Operations staff, in addition to communications with electric utilities and associated stakeholders
  • Developing reports and compiling data related to community solar credits
  • Frequent MS Excel and general data work

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail is necessary
  • Basic knowledge of energy terms (e.g., kW, kWh)
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, with proficiency with basic formulas such as SUM, VLOOKUP, etc., as well as ability to work with and synthesize datasets in MS Excel
  • Passionate about the clean energy industry and working at a mission-driven company
  • Proficiency with Google Suite such as Mail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides
  • Professional oral and written communication skills; ability to present findings concisely and effectively

Salary

$20 – $25/hr
