Hood Patterson & Dewar (HP&D) seeks an Electrical Testing and Commissioning Agent to join our team. The Electrical Testing and Commissioning Agent performs testing and commissioning of all types of electrical equipment, provides problem-solving and troubleshooting of various electrical systems and components, and documents testing processes and test results. In addition, the Agent will confirm the interaction of the electrical system with other building systems, effectively document the testing process, accurately record the findings, and interpret the test results. We encourage employees to cross-train and develop a wide array of skills to better serve our clients • Committed to operating under a servant leadership mentality to continue providing best-in-class services to our clients while taking care of our people, who are truly our greatest asset • Empower employees to advance their careers through the Employee Development Program, which encourages professional growth Responsibilities • Participate in all phases of testing and commissioning of electrical systems • Review and analyze data and prepare technical reports for client feedback • Perform design reviews of systems • Work with teammates to manage projects efficiently while exceeding client expectations for technical excellence • Comply with all safety requirements to ensure a safe working environment • Create and carry out all testing procedures • Investigate and troubleshoot problems; diagnose and repair faults Required Skills and Qualifications • A BEE or BSE from an ABET-accredited university or 5 years of related experience preferred but not required • Four years of education or five years in the electrical industry is preferred • Registered Professional Engineer is preferred but not required • NETA Certification and/or NICET Electrical Power Testing Certification preferred, but not required • Flexibility to accommodate at least 80% domestic travel and extended hotel stays • Must have insured vehicle and be legally eligible to drive • The ability and willingness to work extended hours to meet project deadlines • Candidates can face extensive additional background checks at the client’s request We are looking for team players who are accountable and self-directed to help clients and remove the red tape from the processes.
