Location: Energy Jobsites Across the United States
Eligibility: Students graduating within the next two years
About the Role
If you are a safety-minded student who wants to do more than sit in a classroom — this is your opportunity.
Moss & Associates is looking for Energy Safety Interns to join our teams on real, active utility-scale Energy projects across the U.S. This is not a “coffee and spreadsheets” internship. You will be out in the field, working side by side with experienced safety professionals, contributing to projects that are helping shape the future of clean energy in America.
At Moss, we believe safety is not just a box to check — it is a moral obligation and a value we live by every single day. As an intern, you will be a real part of that mission.
What You’ll Be Studying
We are looking for students currently pursuing a degree in:
- Occupational Safety and Health
- Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Management
- Public Health

- Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology
What Your Day Will Look Like
No two days on an Energy job site are the same. Here is what you can expect to be doing:
- Shadow and learn from experienced safety professionals in the field.
- Help implement the Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP)
- Conduct hazard identifications and safety observations.
- Assist with field inspections and SWI/MOP validations.
- Attend jobsite and company safety meetings.
- Support core safety programs and seasonal safety procedures.

- Currently pursuing a degree in one of the fields listed above.
- Graduating within the next two years
- Open to relocating for your project assignment.
- Strong communicator who collaborates well with a team
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Genuinely excited about safety, construction, or renewable energy
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Previous experience in construction, preconstruction, or a related internship
- Familiarity with OSHA standards or safety regulations
What You’ll Get Out of This
We know internships are a two-way street — here is what Moss brings to the table:
- Competitive hourly pay — your time and effort are valued.
- Housing allowance — available if you are not local to the project site.
- Real mentorship — direct coaching from experienced project safety leaders, not just busy managers
- Meaningful work — contribute to large-scale renewable energy projects that matter.
- A culture you will love — Moss is built on safety, teamwork, and innovation.
- Resume-worthy experience — walk away with field experience that sets you apart!
