Overview:
Are you passionate about public health and eager to gain real-world experience? Wisconsin AHEC invites undergraduate and graduate students to apply for the Community Health Internship Program (CHIP). This 8-week internship offers the opportunity to work with local public health departments, community health centers, and other health-focused organizations across Wisconsin.
What You’ll Do:
- Shadow professionals in the field of public health
- Engage in hands-on community health projects
- Participate in weekly seminars focused on public health principles
- Receive mentorship and support from a CHIP mentor
Program Highlights:
- Flexible options: Full-time (40 hrs/wk), three-quarters-time (32 hrs/wk), half-time (22 hrs/wk), or quarter-time (12 hrs/wk)
- Formats available: In-person, hybrid, or virtual (very few completely virtual options are available)
- Stipend provided to help cover living expenses
