Michelle Farmer is seeking a detail-oriented Fashion Buying Intern to become a part of our vibrant team. We focus on crafting luxury womenswear garments proudly made in the USA. Our current locations include stores in Palm Beach and Boca Raton, Florida, as well as Southampton, New York.

As a Fashion Buying Intern, You would be working alongside several talented professionals in our West Palm Beach atelier. As an intern, you will assist with technical design, support planning and coordination efforts and gain hands on experience with manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:
As a Buying Intern, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Assisting in analyzing market trends and conducting research to identify new and innovative products that align with our brand vision.
  2. Contributing to the selection and purchasing of products, considering factors such as quality, price, and customer demand.
  3. Collaborating with suppliers and negotiating terms to ensure the best value and quality for the company.
  4. Assisting in managing inventory levels and monitoring stock movement to optimize sales and minimize markdowns.
  5. Supporting the team in preparing reports and analyzing sales data to evaluate the performance of products and make informed buying decisions.

Internship Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Production or related field
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of Google Docs, Microsoft Excel
