Summer Internship – Safety
The John Burns Summer Internship Program is a 10–12 week immersive experience for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a career in safety management or occupational health. Our program offers hands-on, real-world exposure to construction safety and compliance—helping students build practical skills while contributing to meaningful projects that support a safe working environment.
Interns Gain Experience Through:
Assisting Safety Managers with daily jobsite safety inspections and audits
Supporting incident investigations and preparing safety reports
Observing and contributing to toolbox talks and safety meetings
Reviewing and helping maintain safety documentation and compliance records
Exposure to OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and risk management practices
Team-building activities and company events
Participation in charity initiatives
Targeted job-specific training led by a dedicated Supervisor

A strong interest in occupational safety, risk management, or related fields
