Title: Teacher Intern
Location: Virtual/Remote
Hours: 15- 20 per week – Monday to Friday
Commitment: 2024 – 2025 school year.
Supervisor: Community Department Manager
I’RAISE Girls & Boys International Corporation is looking for 2 virtual Group Teacher Interns to assist us in facilitating our Virtual Academy for the 2024-2025 school year. If you are passionate about education and working with children consider applying for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students.
- Lead classroom instruction, ensuring that all students are engaged and actively participating.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and growth.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with co-teachers, aides, and other staff to coordinate and enhance classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assignments, and assessments.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities.
Qualifications:
- College degree in Education, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Experience being a teacher’s aide or group leader.
- Experience or specialization in Special Education.
- Experience in relevant fields such as kindergarten, third grade, middle school, high school, after high school, or other related areas.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring children.
- Creativity in designing activities that promote engagement in various subjects.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a supportive learning environment.
- Organizational skills to manage session planning and material integration effectively.
Skills:
- Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a structured yet flexible learning environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Creativity in lesson planning and the ability to design activities that engage students in learning.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for teaching and nurturing students.
- Organizational skills to effectively manage lesson planning, grading, and classroom activities.
