Founding Forward’s driving mission is transformative educational experiences for students, teachers, and the community that engages citizens in the principles, rights, and responsibilities of American citizenship.
To successfully meet this vision and mission, Founding Forward hosts programs for students on their Valley Forge campus. Participating primarily in our High School Spirit of America Youth Leadership program, students come to Valley Forge from across the country to take part in a four-day, residential experience (Thursday-Sunday) where they are provided with “opportunities to explore the spirit of philosophy of our nation’s founding through debates about constitutional rights, discussion with Founding Fathers, walking in the footsteps of history at Valley Forge and Historic Philadelphia, and investigating character as a means to civic leadership.”
