- Actively pursuing or already obtained an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate is a significant plus.
- Since the position may require some travel to gather or submit information during design, candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
Candidates will begin as Jr. Designers by learning AutoCAD to edit drawings marked up (“redlined”) by engineers. By working from these kinds of drawings, the candidate will begin to grasp the basics of the kind of electrical consulting engineering services we provide.
Depending on the candidate’s work ethic and how quickly the candidate grasps the concepts that are taught, the candidate would be promoted to a Sr. Designer, which means being given more responsibility, and begin developing their own drawings including redlining them for other drafters to edit.
- After 4-years of working for our firm, the candidate would be eligible to take the PE exam to become a Professional Engineer.
- DARcor will pay for any training courses/materials and exam fees including paid time off for the EIT and PE exams.
- Additionally, DARcor will pay for the state licensing fee for registration as a licensed engineer.
- Regular performance reviews and check-ins will be conducted with the candidate and the company’s management personnel and compensation will increase to coincide with each promotion and milestone reached while employed with DARcor.
DARcor offers full benefits for their employees including healthcare at no cost. Starting compensation is negotiable and depends on the candidate’s knowledge, familiarity of the software indicated above, EIT certification, and previous work history.
DARcor specializes in designing power, instrumentation, and controls for the water/wastewater industry in Arizona and neighboring states. We prepare the construction documents (drawings and specifications) for contractors to bid and build from. Additionally, our clients use our drawings to obtain building permits from local municipalities or other authorities having jurisdiction.
