About Us

At CareWorks Health Services, we help older adults and individuals in need of support live safely and comfortably at home. Our compassionate, client-centered approach has made us a trusted home care provider throughout Huntington Beach and surrounding communities.

Behind the care is a team that values kindness, professionalism, and continuous learning. We’re looking for a social work student who shares these values and would like to gain experience supporting clients and families in a home care environment.

About the Role

We’re hiring a part-time Social Work Support Intern to assist with client materials, care documentation, and other administrative projects. This is a great opportunity for a social work student who wants to learn more about senior care, client services, and the administrative side of supporting individuals and families.

This is a non-clinical, on-site internship requiring approximately four hours per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare consultation packets for prospective clients and families
  • Assemble client care binders
  • Prepare and send cards to clients, caregivers, and community partners
  • Download, print, and organize documents
  • Organize physical and electronic files
  • Assist with other small client-support and office projects as needed

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Social Work or a related human services field
  • Friendly, compassionate, and passionate about helping others
  • Interested in learning more about home care and senior services
  • Organized and attentive to detail
  • Dependable and able to follow instructions
  • Comfortable handling sensitive information professionally
  • Possess basic technical skills, including downloading, printing, and organizing documents
  • Able to work on-site in Huntington Beach for approximately four hours per week

Why This Role Is a Great Fit

  • Gain exposure to the administrative side of social work and home care
  • Learn how a care agency supports older adults, families, and caregivers
  • Build professional communication and organizational skills
  • Receive guidance from an experienced home care team
  • Maintain a flexible, student-friendly four-hour weekly schedule
  • Earn $17.50 per hour while gaining practical workplace experience
