Camp Winaukee Student Nurse Position

Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Nursing Student, where you will gain invaluable hands-on experience supporting patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing professionals. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to develop essential clinical skills, deepen your understanding of medical procedures, and contribute meaningfully to patient well-being. Your role will involve assisting with patient assessments, monitoring vital signs, and supporting care plans to ensure optimal health outcomes. If you are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives and eager to grow your nursing expertise, this position is the perfect step forward in your healthcare journey.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient observation and monitoring, including tracking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
  • Support nursing staff with basic procedures
  • Conduct physical examinations and assist with patient assessments to gather relevant health information
  • Maintain accurate medical records and review documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring correct dosages and timing
  • Observe patients closely for changes in condition and report findings promptly to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in the development and review of individualized care plans based on patient needs and physiology knowledge

Experience

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program or equivalent healthcare training course
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology principles.
  • Familiarity with clinical procedures such as vital signs measurement, physical examinations, and documentation review.
  • Experience or training in patient assessment techniques and care planning preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks requiring attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and support patient service efforts.
