📌 Position Overview

We are hiring part-time STEM Teachers and inviting motivated individuals to join our unpaid 3-month internship track leading to long-term employment. Whether you’re a certified educator, a college student exploring a teaching career, or someone passionate about working with children, this is your opportunity to build meaningful experience in a supportive, high-energy environment.

🔹 Internship Track – 3 Month Program (Unpaid)

Open to: College students, recent grads, and career-changers
Compensation: Unpaid during internship period
Goal: Prepare interns for long-term paid teaching roles with Bricks 4 Kidz®

What You’ll Learn

Classroom setup, student engagement, and our signature Bricks 4 Kidz® curriculum

Effective behavior management and parent communication strategies

How to deliver high-quality lessons that inspire creativity and confidence

Progression Timeline

Month 1: Observe and assist lead instructors; learn curriculum and class flow

Month 2: Co-lead sessions with support from senior teachers

Month 3: Independently lead a class with oversight and feedback

Completion Incentives

Upon successful completion, interns may be offered long-term employment and:

Performance-based bonuses for continued student registrations and positive family feedback

Priority for leadership roles such as Site Lead or Program Coordinator

Professional development opportunities in education and enrichment

We’re looking for future educators who want to make working with children a core part of their career—not just a seasonal gig.

🔹 STEM Teacher (Part-Time Paid Role)

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or valid teaching certificate is required

Must have experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camps, childcare)

Strong communication skills and professionalism with both students and parents

Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential

Able to pass a background check and lift up to 25 lbs

đź““ Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

⚙️ In the Classroom

Lead exciting, structured STEM sessions using our LEGO®-based curriculum

Encourage collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking among students

Manage group dynamics and maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere

🧑‍🧑‍🧒 With Families

Greet parents warmly at check-in and check-out

Share updates about each student’s achievements (e.g., “Elijah smiled through the entire build—he was so proud of his motorized crane today!”)

Build trust and rapport with families through consistent, thoughtful communication

🤓 As a Team Member

Arrive prepared and enthusiastic for each session

Collaborate with fellow staff and support smooth classroom logistics

Help maintain kits and ensure materials are organized and well cared for

⏰ Schedule & Pay

Part-Time Teachers: Paid hourly, after internship or for direct hires

Interns: 3-month unpaid program with opportunity for paid employment

Typical hours: After-school (approx. 2–7 PM), occasional weekends, seasonal camps

Location: Miami Dade County; Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Coconut Grove, South Miami
Organization: Bricks 4 Kidz® Miami
Reports to: Program Director / Site Coordinator

Bricks 4 Kidz® is a hands-on STEM enrichment program using LEGO® bricks, motors, and robotics to spark curiosity and imagination in children ages 4–12. We’re passionate about combining play with purpose and are committed to delivering a fun, engaging educational experience that inspires the next generation of engineers and innovators.
