Position: Program Leader
Pay Scale: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Required Hours: 20-25 hours per week

Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region (BGCPPR) is looking for an energetic and passionate Program Lead to work with ages 5-18 within our traditional Club locations. BGCPPR offers amazing opportunities and programs to the youth of the Pikes Peak Region and great career advancement and training opportunities to BGCPPR staff members. BGCPPR needs someone who is just as excited as our organization to change and impact their lives!

Duties:

  • Plan, implement, and document successful Boys & Girls Club programs in the areas of academic success, character development, leadership, healthy lifestyle, STEM, and art activities with school-aged children. Helping support members in the completion of school work.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures in a proactive manner, making the safety and care of children your primary focus.
  • Build a positive relationship with each Club member in your care and foster positive connections between participants.
  • Conduct yourself as a professional and representative of the organization with school staff, parents, children, and anyone else with whom you come into contact in your role.
  • Maintain and enforce rules and behavioral policies.
  • Be a contributing member of the team.
  • Inspect and maintain clean program areas on a daily basis. Check supplies and be sure all are accounted for and request more supplies if running low.
  • Cleaning various rooms and the overall building at the end of each shift such as kitchen, bathrooms, classrooms, gym, etc.
  • Actively participate in all aspects of staff or member development, weekly team meetings, pre-service training, and an additional 15 hours of training during the school year (Provided by BGCPPR).
  • Participate in special programs and or events. These events may be scheduled at times when the club is not open.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and have experience with school-age children (5-18 years old).
  • El Pomar Club – Must be available M-F between 1:30 pm-7:00 pm.
  • E.A Tutt Club- Must be available M-F between 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
