We at Notre Dame Mission Volunteers AmeriCorps believe that education is the fundamental tool in the struggle for human dignity, self-esteem and self-determination. NDMVA members provide direct in-person service at schools, community centers and non-profits. They work to empower the economically disadvantaged and oppressed through education and personal hands-on support. All positions are designed to provide academic assistance for grades K-12 or to provide adult education in the form of environmental education, GED, ESL, food security, job readiness or job training.
Responsibilities may include: assist with after-school programs, assist with environmental education classes, help connect children and adults with nature, help to facilitate or execute small group instruction with guidance/support from classroom teacher; work with teachers to coordinate in-class support for students around engagement and behavior; assist with the coordination and implementation of ESL classes; support food security organizations.

Minimum Requirements
