All Around This World — http://www.ExploreEverywhere.com — is a global music and world cultures educational program for very young children (infants to 9 year-olds) and their families. Philadelphia-based music teacher Jay Sand founded the project in 2009, and over many years has created an interactive music curriculum for children that introduces kids to the world through singing, dancing and FUN.

All Around This World is seeking creative students, especially those who have experience with the Montessori method, for a spring and/or summer ’26 internship, to work with us on advancing a Montessori-specific version of our global music and world music curriculum for kids. The students will work remotely with AATW founder and lead teacher Jay Sand and his co-teacher, to develop lessons based on the AATW program for use in Montessori schools.

Over the course of the internship the students will learn how to create effective curriculum materials, learning loads about international music and world cultures along the way. All Around This World plans to make this new versions of the curriculum fully available to the public in the spring of 2026.

AATW is a small organization based in Philadelphia, but this internship is remote. Any interns will work Jay and his co-teachers online, communicating via e-mail and Zoom.

No previous curriculum development experience required. Interns should be creative, responsible (able to reliably follow through on promised tasks) and should be enthusiastic about educating children.

Interns can commit any amount of time weekly to the project and work hours will be flexible; we will work together to develop a schedule that works for us both.

This internship is unpaid, but we will actively support successful interns with recommendations and other work references. Interns will receive public credit as co-developers of the curriculum.

Direct inquiries to Jay Sand at jay@allaroundthisworld.com, 215-913-2679.
