Projects for Peace is a global program that encourages young adults to develop innovative, community-centered, and scalable responses to the world’s most pressing issues. Launched in 2007 by Kathryn W. Davis, Projects for Peace works with more than 115 partner institutions worldwide to identify and fund at least 100 student-led initiatives each summer.
Past Amherst students have brought their ideas to life in Washington Heights (New York City), Bafoussam (Cameroon), and Nagasaki (Japan). Your project could be next—click below to find out how to make it happen.
Selected students receive a $10,000 grant to implement their projects during summer break, turning their ideas into reality and making a tangible impact.
