Dear Students,
Welcome back! I hope you are all excited for the new school year. For those of you who participated in internships over the summer, I look forward to hearing all about them! This year, the Loeb will be hosting some new and exciting programs and workshops that I hope you will all take advantage of.
Today, we will be hosting an Open House (3-5pm) at the Loeb and I encourage new students to come by to meet with me and our other team members. My colleagues and I will also be hosting a number of events in the next few weeks that focus on careers in each of our specialty areas. I will be leading a workshop on Tuesday the 15th exploring the topic, “Data and Tech: Where the will the jobs be?”. I’ll be hosting workshops on a variety of other topics and fields throughout the semester, so please keep an eye out.
If you are considering data and big tech focused internships and roles in industry, please be aware some companies are already recruiting! If you are interested in these types of roles, I HIGHLY recommend looking at this page for internships and this one for new grad opportunities.
I will be continuing my regular advising schedule with both scheduled one-on-one meetings and drop in hours throughout the academic year. Meetings with me and my other Loeb colleagues can be requested via Handshake. I will have appointments in the Loeb Center available for request on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. In addition, starting on Tuesday, I will be holding my drop-in hours at the Science Center Living Room on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-4pm.

Position Title: Program Data Coordinator
Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or 3–4 years of relevant work experience. Experience with Salesforce or similar CRMs, Excel/Google Sheets, data management, customer engagement platforms, survey administration, and/or nonprofit program operations is a plus.
Compass Overview: Compass Pro Bono forges lasting ties between local nonprofits and local business professionals to empower thriving, equitable, resilient communities. Compass Pro Bono believes that thriving, equitable, resilient communities are ones in which the local business and local nonprofit sectors are deeply interconnected. We believe that local nonprofits play a critical role in community well-being, and that local business professionals can play a critical role in local nonprofits’ success. We envision a world in which nonprofits consistently have access within their own communities to the business strategy resources they need to thrive, and in which business professionals are empowered to seamlessly leverage their business acumen to sustain the nonprofits serving their communities.
Position Overview: Do you enjoy building data systems that produce information that is clean, clear, and easy for people to use? Do you like digging into data, spotting inconsistencies, and turning messy information into something accurate and useful? Would you thrive as part of the behind-the-scenes engine that helps a mission-driven organization deliver high-quality programs across multiple cities? Are you technologically confident, detail-oriented, and comfortable learning new platforms? Do you enjoy using data to help teams make better decisions? Are you a customer-service-minded problem solver who can support colleagues, volunteers, and nonprofit partners with patience and accuracy? Do you want to work with a fantastic team? If you’re shouting “YES!”, then this is the position for you!
Your mission: Be the data management and reporting engine that helps Compass Pro Bono collect, understand, improve, and maintain program data so we can deliver consistently high-quality programs and communicate their impact across all regions.

- A growth mindset and ownership mentality
